When there’s something strange, on your desktop – who you gonna call?
Had to share with you real quick my new wallpaper for this week. This fabulous creation was done by SpazChicken at DeviantArt. Make sure you go check it out there, and give him some love for a job well done.
Since my wallpaper highlighting old Atari 2600 carts was so popular, I thought I would revisit the idea – but this time I used old NES box art as my source.
So a black mage, Mario, Kirby and Mega Man walk into a bar (and stop me if you have heard this one) and happen to make some really cool wallpaper in world 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. OK, maybe I need to work on the punch line but while we are talking about great wallpaper, I wanted to share this with you.

The larger my computer’s monitor gets, the harder it is to find quality wallpaper out there. While there are still many places to comb on the Web to find really wide images, I thought I would share some of my favorite 1920 x 1200 wallpapers I have found on Deviant Art.

Since I started playing Batman: Arkham Asylum on the PS3, I have been on a Batman kick. To help satisfy my bat-needs while I’m on my bat-computer, I figured I’d go out and seek some bat-wallpaper. This excellent old school batman logo design really looks nice, and it fits my new monitor’s 1920×1200 screen resolution very well.

Decorating my PC’s desktop with a simple wood-like wallpaper seems to help me clear the clutter, and focus more on the task at hand. Well, that and I just think the wood look and feel just looks awesome on any computer monitor. With that in mind I have collected 25 of my favorite wood-related wallpapers to share with you here.

In my search for the perfect wallpaper selection out there, this week I thought I would tackle the black and white world. I’m a big fan of the simplicity of black and white art and photography, so why not decorate your desktop in the same fashion?

Why is it that we are all kind of amused by making Nintendo’s favorite plumber, Mario, so darn creepy looking? There have been some real oddities posted out there in the past that have put a new light on the overall wearing hero, but this one might take the cake on being the creepiest thus far.
Here is what the artist in question, Rob Sheridan had to say about this oddity of a masterpiece.
I never felt like I’d quite finished the Mario portrait I did a couple weeks ago. The background was rushed and I didn’t have time to make the bricks change over as they should have. So since it proved to be so popular, I figured it was worth expanding upon a little bit.
