Wiki + CMS = BoltWire

BoltWire Review and Help

Looking for a wiki script for your next great web site project?

As somebody who’s built one from the ground up – I can tell you picking the right script for the job, is not an easy task to do.  With a surprising amount of flexibility and power, BoltWire might be one of the easiest to use wikis out there.

It takes the cake when it comes to mixing the strengths of various script categories together.  Is it a CMS? Is it a wiki?  It is a little ‘bit of both.

3 Years of Podcasting

This week marks the 3rd birthday of the Web Hosting Show podcast. Three years later and 143+ podcasts recorded, I think we are still going strong and thankfully can continue to say we are the number one web hosting podcast out there today and the one and only voice of the web hosting world.

Here is a little more of what to look forward to on episode 143:

Affiliate Programs in Web Hosting

Signing up for an affiliate program with your current Web host (if they offer one) is a really easy way to make a little cash and support the Web host you like. I have always been a big fan of “word of mouth” advertising, and affiliate programs make sure you get something back in return.

For Web hosts out there you might have to pay a little here and there – but in the long run you are brining in more customers with little or no cost to you. Taking what you have made and investing in a program like this could mean more clients in the future, which means even more money to give back to your biggest affiliate partners.

For Web hosting clients this is a nice way to earn a few bucks on the side. Just about every major Web host out there today has an affiliate hosting program, so finding one shouldn’t be apart of the problem. You might not be rolling in the cash by doing this – but it is a nice way to make a little extra money on the side.

My Deal With Hostaga

Some of you have asked about the new Hostaga image and link on the Web site. Well, since the route of sponsorship (or as I like to call it “supporter”) worked so well for the Web Hosting Show, I figured I would try it out here. So how has the experiance been so far? I have to say I have been more than impressed. They might be a little smaller than your average Web hosting company, but that isn’t always a bad thing.

So if you are looking for a good Web hosting deal, you might give them a shot.
