Monty Python and the Holy YouTube

“For 3 years you YouTubers have been ripping us off”

Haha, that is why I love Monty Python!  They have launched a YouTube channel of their very own, where they are serving up high quality versions of all the best of the best of their comedy skits.

What do they want in return?

But we want something in return.
None of your driveling, mindless comments. Instead, we want you to click on the links, buy our movies & TV shows and soften our pain and disgust at being ripped off all these years.

Fair enough, you win this round Monty Python!

The Toxic Avenger Rides Again! (Watch the Entire Cult Classic!)

Talk about childhood memories!  I used to love the whole series of Toxic Avenger movies.  Maybe it was a growing up in the 80’s thing?  Perhaps it was because I had a love for bad movies even way back then.  My earliest memories of watching The Toxic Avenger was on the USA Network - when they used to have marathons of all the movies (edited, of course) on Saturday or Sunday mornings.

For those unfamiliar with this cult classic, here is the plot summary:

Melvin Ferd (Mark Torgl) is a stereotypical 98-pound weakling. He works as a janitor at a health club in the town of Tromaville, where the customers–particularly Bozo, Slug, Wanda, and Julie - harass him constantly. His tormentors get more and more violent until he is tricked into wearing a pink tutu and kissing a sheep. He is then chased around the health club by witnesses of the event where he eventually jumps out of a second story window. He lands in a drum of toxic waste and is irradiated and deformed by the accident. He suddenly lights on fire and runs down the street in a ball of flames. Melvin quickly takes a bath and mysteriously transforms into a hideously deformed creature of superhuman size and strength.

Ohh Toxie, why don’t we have heroes like you anymore?!

Warning, this movie might not be for everybody. Was probably rated R when it came out in theaters, and Hulu rates it as TV-MA.   Ok, now that I got the warning out of the way, enjoy the show!

Oh, and yes - I did love the Toxic Crusaders too.  Let us see how many of you remember it as well.

My Birthday Present for You… Freaks!

Since today is my birthday, I had to find something extra special to get for all of you.  Yes, I know birthdays usually work the other way around - but hey, I am a giving kind of guy. So what better to hand you than another public domain favorite movie of mine, Freaks.

It is a horror movie about sideshow performers.  Instead of using makeup and actors though, the films director (and producer) Tod Browning hired actual carnival performers.  That, in its own right, makes it even stranger.  The film was also banned in the United Kingdom for thirty years.

Watch Night of the Living Dead for Free!

What says October more than one of the greatest zombie movies of all time.  I don’t care who you are or what you do - there is no zombie movie better than the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead.  The other day I just happened to cross the full movie up on Google Video (probably due to the copyright on it running out many years ago).

What is your favorite scary movie?  Night of the Living Dead would be in the top ten, no wait - top five for me.  How about you?

Finding Wrestling Matches on YouTube

YouTubeEvery so often, I run into a little ‘bit of time where I have nothing else to do. So where do I turn for some entertainment? Like everybody else I start typing in random phrases into YouTube and watch some uploaded content. It looks like there are a lot of wrestling matches and segments up and running on YouTube right now. Now searching for “WWE” or “WWF” might turn up much - but try typing in a wrestler’s name.

Here is a good result I got for searching for (one of my all time favorites) Chris Jericho. It is his WWE debut on RAW.

That’s not all. After searching for “WWE Ashley” I found this short video of Ashley Massaro unrevealing her “entertaining” magazine cover. ;)

You can find a lot of rare content as well. Try searching for NJPW and you will get a load of classic New Japan Pro Wrestling matches. Now how legal is all of this?

I am sure lawyers and lawsuits will get involved eventually, so enjoy it while it lasts.
