Rip MP3s from YouTube Vidoes

Now it isn’t often that I want to take the audio track from a video on YouTube, but the other day I found a collection of wrestling themes I really like to have a few selections from.  So to take the music from the uploads, I found a tool that will get it done.

FLV to MP3!

The FLV to MP3 Online Converter is the tool you want to keep handy.  So far it is still fairly quick with it’s conversion and when it is done doing that voodoo that it does so well it will spit out a .mp3 file for you to save, edit and rename as your own.

As a bonus, also be sure to check out my post on Firefox Facts that covers ripping mp3 files from music shared on MuxTape.com.

Turn Off YouTube Spam

YouTube Spam?

Anybody else getting more YouTube spam lately?

I have noticed a few more trickling in lately – so decided to do something about it. If you go visit your My Account page and hunt for around 10 minutes you will find a link for E-mail Options. From there, you can set YouTube to “Don’t send any emails for the above events”.

Hit save, and you should be all fixed up. No offense lovemeChristy72, your just not my kind of girl though.

Get Download Link for YouTube Videos

Download YouTube Videos

There are a few videos on YouTube I wouldn’t mind saving to watch later – take this one for example. Come on, I know you could all watch my Web hosting stress relief video all day long. Why go get a new extension to do a job I can do myself with a simple Greasemonkey user script? This is all you need to do – pick up the YouTube Video Download script at userscripts.org for Greasemonkey.

After doing so – you get a pretty little download icon as you see in the image above where you can download any video from the Web site. You’ll get it as an .flv file. Then you can play it in that format using a player like VLC Media Player or convert it to something else.

Web Hosts Need Viral Videos

Now there is no doubt that launching a neat video on the Web is a good way to get attention. The question is, why aren’t more Web hosts doing it? Searching through YouTube there are only a handful of Web hosts that have tried to go down this route. A few of them look like they might have made out big as well.

For the best example, check out this video:

+ YouTube – Hot Girl + Web Hosting = WTF!?!?!

At the time of me writing this, this average (a little boring for my tastes) video has gotten 89,927 views. Web hosts, that could be more than “just a few” new accounts. Now I’m off to go search for a female mascot/spokesperson for the Web Hosting Show. Any volunteers?

Finding Wrestling Matches on YouTube

YouTubeEvery so often, I run into a little ‘bit of time where I have nothing else to do. So where do I turn for some entertainment? Like everybody else I start typing in random phrases into YouTube and watch some uploaded content. It looks like there are a lot of wrestling matches and segments up and running on YouTube right now. Now searching for “WWE” or “WWF” might turn up much – but try typing in a wrestler’s name.

Here is a good result I got for searching for (one of my all time favorites) Chris Jericho. It is his WWE debut on RAW.

That’s not all. After searching for “WWE Ashley” I found this short video of Ashley Massaro unrevealing her “entertaining” magazine cover. ;)

You can find a lot of rare content as well. Try searching for NJPW and you will get a load of classic New Japan Pro Wrestling matches. Now how legal is all of this?

I am sure lawyers and lawsuits will get involved eventually, so enjoy it while it lasts.

New Tutorials from DemoWolf

As far as flash Web hosting tutorials go, there are two ways you can go. You can go with DemoDemo or you can go with DemoWolf. I have talked with both companies, and they are both run by pretty nice guys.

Lately, the folks at DemoWolf have been a lot better at getting attention. DemoWolf has just released a new series of tutorials for Virtuozzo Power Panel for Windows. This new series is a 13-tutorial set that shows customers how to use the popular VPS control panel by SW-Soft.

Want to see how good DemoWolf’s work is? Check out the video tutorial section over at WebHostingShow.com!

PSP 2.8 Firmare – Thoughts and Links

Logitech Playgear Pocket - Inside PSP CaseWell I upgraded my PSP to the newest firmware yesterday. I haven’t had too much time to play with it, but I have loaded it up with some new goodies.

First things first, I dropped a few video podcasts on it. Sure, we all wanted streaming video, but I am just as happy with downloading videos via the RSS feed. This takes my PC out of the middle and lets me check out and manage a lot more video content.

I got the latest game demos as well for the PSP. Lots of fun to be had, I just wish that Sony would release game demos a little more often and wouldn’t make us jump through ten hoops to get them on the PSP.

The last thing I have done is added Blaugh’s RSS feed to my PSP RSS Feed Reader. Yeah, you can subscribe to images via RSS now as well.

All in all, I really like this newest firmware update. Now if we could only get those downloadable PSOne games coming, I would be one happy gamer.
