Easy Free Storage with File Qube

It is always a good sign when a web site has a name you could use as a way to describe it. You know, such as grab me a Pop-tart instead of grab me a toaster pastry. To add to that list, we have File Qube. I am sure it is these guys dream to have you one day say, “Hey go stick that in your File Qube” and after checking it out, you might just be doing that in the near future.

File Qube is a free online storage spot that allows you to upload your files and share them with your friends, family and other random strangers. Your max filesize per upload is 150 MB and if you sign up they bump it up to 500 MB. Also after signing up you get 2 GB of disk space to use for all of your uploads.

Saving Links for Later

A few weeks back on Firefox Facts I shared with all my technique for saving links to read later. The general idea is to create a “temp” folder in my browser - keep it on my bookmarks bar and then drag URLs into it as I need to. I think I have found a system that beats that hands down.

Instapaper - Save Links for Later

I have been using Instapaper for the past few days and I love it. No goofy Web 2.0 useless and mind-numbing features I don’t want or need. I just hit one bookmarklet that says, “read later” and it is saved for me. Later on when I have time to read just login to Instapaper.com and you are good to go from anywhere.

If you have any questions out the service, the FAQ is pretty in depth and also I want to toss a big thanks to the creator too.

Quick E-mail Change

As I move MitchKeeler.com to a new hosting account, my E-mail might be down for a little while. If you really need to get a hold of me for something though - please use mitch@lockergnome.com for the time being. Thanks!

Alright, I think I got mitch@mitchkeeler.com back up and running now. :)
