FeedMyInbox is a new service that recently caught my eye, due to the fact they make things very simple. They are offering you blogs, feeds and news delivered magically to your e-mail inbox. All you have to do is visit the web site and enter a web site RSS feed and your e-mail address.
Here is how FeedMyInbox explain the process:
Once you find a feed you would like to subscribe to, simply type in the web address (URL) for the site on FeedMyInbox.com. We will find the feed(s) available on the page, and you can select what you want to subscribe to. Once you subscribe to a feed, we will send an email to the address you specified. Simply click the link that is enclosed to confirm that your email address is correct, and you are all set!
It is an interesting service, to say the least.
Of course, if you want to get my feed in your inbox, that is easy enough to do without this service. Just click this link to subscribe to e-mail updates, so you never miss a post.

Just wanted to share some exciting news this morning, Mitchelaneous has finally broken the 600 subscribers mark! I’ve been watching this one for a while, since I had been hovering in 580 subscribers to 590 subscribers for some time.
To check out every single post, be sure to check out the archives (all of them are on one single page!) It goes all the way back to an article that no longer exists anymore. Fun times, indeed. If you want to go WAY back in time - check out how things looked back in 2005!

Not old enough? Well happened to find a version from back in 2004 (the year the Mitchelaneous fun started here):

Want to help celebrate? Tell your friends, family and your neighbor’s dog they should be subscribing! Need some help?

Thanks for following me for the past 4+ years! You are the awesome 600+ that keep me going day after day and I REALLY do appreciate it.

When getting started building a brand Online, a lot of people ask what should they do first? Well after you get your content flowing, you need a way for people to follow that content. That is where RSS and all the various feed readers out there come into play.
Everybody has their own way of doing things though, so you need to make sure you meet everybody’s needs. Thanks to services like FeedBurner, this is pretty easy. From inside their web site you can generate tons of those subscription links, as well as your standard big orange button and even e-mail newsletter management. It is by far the best option out there.
As a rule of thumb, you want to give people the ability to follow you via:
- Your Domain (visiting your web site)
- Via RSS (using the feed reader of their choosing)
- and a newsletter (which you can easily setup with an RSS feed with FeedBurner)
Also it never hurts to let people know your RSS feed over and over again. Such as how I am right now begging you informing you to subscribe to this feed if you want more informative posts just like the one you just read:

I have been playing around some with the FeedBurner e-mail subscription settings here for Mitchelaneous. Don’t think I have bothered with this since I moved from Blogware to a hosted WordPress solution many moons ago. If you’d like to subscribe to my blog via e-mail to help boost circulation and to make sure you don’t miss any posts, use this link:
Click Here! Subscribe to Mitchelaneous by E-mail!
You’ll just get one update a day packed to the brim with Mitch-like Web goodness. If you need other subscription alternatives, we have plenty to choose from. Remember, Mitchelaneous is here to help you with the evil Mr. Internet!

We are almost reaching the half way point with my web site and feed suggestion list taken right from my Google Reader subscription list.
Google Operating System - This is my favorite of all the Google news, tips and tweaks blogs out there. If you want to know a little more about what is going on at Google this is the web site to follow for sure.
Worthy Example Post: YouTube Feeds
VistaStyles.org - The VistaStyles.org resource is for anybody who is a fan of making their desktop look just a little ‘bit better. No matter if you are using Vista or not - there are enough wallpapers, icons and more to keep your desktop different from the rest.
Worth Example Post: Longhorn Wall
Internet Duct Tape - IDT is one of those web sites I decided to subscribe to after seeing something brilliant they had done that had got them linked elsewhere. Filled with tons of tips, tools and tweaks on all aspects of our geeky lifestyle we all live.
Worthy Example Post: 107 t-shirts for geeks that do not suck
Kyle’s Cove - Kyle is just your average blogger who has found a niche in blogging about things that others find interesting. He didn’t start a Web 2.0 company or invent bubble wrap but I am willing to bet he’s more interesting to read than most of the two previous examples are.
Worthy example Post: Top 5 Free Software You Should Be Using
Next comes the part of the alphabet everybody slurs together. Should be able to pick some goodies from there for you to check out too.

I have really been having fun lately with Hosting Hoopla. Going on a “link hunt” to find the best the web hosting industry has to offer is always a challenge, because you often run into the same old stuff time and time again.
That is one of the reasons for the redesign and refocusing of the HostingHoopla.com web site. I wanted to make reading about the web hosting industry fun and informative again.
Now do I expect you to come visit the web site each and every day? No. I want to make things easy for you and that is where the RSS feed comes into play. I have had a number of folks subscribe directly to that. The more popular method though seems to be signing up to get daily updates via your e-mail’s inbox.

These are two ways to track what is going on in the hosting world that can not be forgotten about. Also I have one last offer for the web hosts or hosting professionals out there. Feel free to contact me at mitch@mitchkeeler.com and I’ll be happy to take your own submissions for the list too. I’d really like to get more coupons and deals from any web hosts or other people who have offers to give in the hosting industry.
