As you can tell from our last post, I have been playing a lot of Minecraft as of late. So, I thought to myself, “Mitch, why not kill two birds with one stone and produce content AND play Minecraft at the same time?”. So, after being a fan of many popular YouTube “Let’s Play” series I thought it was about time for me to give it a shot. So, that is how Mitchcraft was born.
What is Mitchcraft?
Mitch in Minecraft
This weekend I finally got to play around with an idea that has been in the back of my head for a while now, doing a “Let’s Play” video in Minecraft. I have become a big fan of some of the more popular YouTube series based around Minecraft, so I thought I might try doing it myself. What you see here is more of a trial/test video to see if there is any interest from you in me doing more of these and also a test to see if I’d like to do more of them myself.
4 Best Minecraft Series
Thanks to my addiction of playing Minecraft, I have found a lot of good (and some not so good) video series on YouTube based around the mining adventure game. So, with a little free time on my hands I thought I would share with you some of my favorites video series I have stumbled upon the last few months.
Day 2 – Dealing with HP Support
Well not much as changed, with my melted PC – so thought instead I’d make a few observations thus far:
- HP has yet to update the “status” page where I can check into the progress of all of this. With the FedEx tracking number though I do know my box should be here sometime before 4pm on Wednesday.
- I was impressed with HP’s online support. I explained my issue, showed them the pictures and they told me they’d setup a pickup for it, fix it or replace it and then send it back. They have also promised it would all take 7 to 9 days too.
- I am pretty sure I grabbed all my important documents. I copied them over to an external hard drive and then copied from there to my laptop – so all my bases should be covered there. Will probably try to do the reformat and re-install of Windows Vista tonight so it will be ready to box up and go.
Should be getting Wii Fit tomorrow too, so it should be fun to see if the UPS guy has a run in with the FedEx guy. As long as they keep their brawl out in the street, I don’t mind.
Red Dwarf
I have been a fan of Red Dwarf for I don’t even know how many years. I remember before I was introduced to the wonders of satellite television watching it on my local PBS channel really late at night.
Well just the other day I completed my DVD collection of the entire British series. I finally broke down and bought the last three seasons last week – and that is pretty much all I have been doing during my free time. Catching up watching episodes I haven’t seen in years.
I never really got into your Star Wars or Star Trek or anything else traditional with “star” in the title. So why get into a series about a group of guys traveling through space? It was one of the most brilliantly written television shows I have ever seen – thats why.
Even though it has been some time since their original airing – they are still good. You could watch it for your first time today, and not have that feeling that you watching a TV show that was on ten or more years ago. Can you say the same thing about the Fresh Prince of Bel Air? I don’t think so.
So if your wanting something new to watch or you want to find out more information – I would suggest checking out the official Red Dwarf Web site. Here are some more links to help you learn more about the series as well:

Addicted to Civilization IV
After I bought my new laptop, I wanted to get something fun to play on it. I have always been a big fan of the entire Civilization series, so I picked up Civilization IV. I’ll tell you the truth, right from the start this game makes it hard to do anything else! I have forgotten to eat, I have forgotten to sleep… I must take over the world!
Having played just about every Civilization game there has been, I do have to say that this one is the best in the series so far. The series still keeps me addicted and excited after all these years.
