I Was Rubelized!

I have been a big fan of Steve Rubel’s writing for a long time – so I was more than happy to see that he found his way to my Google Reader article that I wrote a few days ago. After he did link to me and del.icio.us put me on the front page, I noticed a boost in traffic.

Rubelized

As you can see the little bars went up – and that is a good thing. So in an effort to find something to call this wonderful surge of popularity, the best thing I could come up with was “Rubelized”.

Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Of course my 15 minutes of popularity are probably almost over – but I promise all you regular readers you will continue to get the best my fingers have to offer every single day.

FeedBurner Breeds Paranoia

Yes, I said it – FeedBurner breeds paranoia. As some of you might have noticed I slowed down with the number of posts that I produce around the Web over the holiday weekend because I was a little burnt out and honestly had too many things on my plate.

The time off though did wonders, because now I am just itching to create more content. The problem comes in when I start checking out my FeedBurner subscription numbers. I like to check them out at least once a day, and when I do I am usually happy with they go up and a little depressed when they go down. With the lack of posts the last few days, they have been going down a lot – and not I am racking my brain on how to fix that.

This is something I do every time I notice a lowering in the numbers – it makes me a little paranoid. Did I say something wrong? Am I not as entertaining as I used to be? Well, maybe I can not blame FeedBurner for my entire problem, but it doesn’t help me any.

Damn them for providing me such quality statistical information!

Blogebrities Need a Vacation

On an Internet where we are suppose to have millions of voices talking about topics; why is it we are forced to read the same ones over and over again? Do not get me wrong, I have nothing against somebody being popular.

Let us lighten the load on the blogebrities for a little while and invest our time and eyeballs with somebody new. Who know? You might even like it.

Search Engine Optimization

SE-Inspectors is a nice tool for those of you who want to go out and see how “search engine ready” your Web site is. It checks your meta tags, text, URL, link popularity, and keyword density. I just ran a few of my own domains through it, and it looks like I am pretty ready for any search engine to crawl my Web sites at any given moment. How ready are you?
