Seeking out some new desktop decorations, I ran across a couple of crazy plumbers on the Web. Perhaps one would be good for the laptop while the other on the desktop PC? Here are a couple of awesome Super Mario Bros wallpapers…
Found both of these via Deviant Art:
But if they are on your desktop, then who will save the Mushroom Kingdom?

I have had my Wii for a little over a week now, and I do love it dearly. In my opinion, it is the perfect system for my generation - the one that was raised with a bottle in one hand and a video game controller in the other hand.
Right now I could care less about graphic innovation, home entertainment or anything that the others are pitching. What I want is something that is fun to play which Wii wins at hands down.
One aspect that I didn’t think would be so damn addictive is downloading the Virtual Console titles. I download one, play it for a while and say.. “Gee, I sure would like to play that” and download another, then another, then well.. just one more. Ok, this will be the last one I promise! I am at the point where I think I may just have to set myself aside a “Wii budget” so I am not tempted to go overboard.
One more money related issue that bugs me about the Wii is that they sell the nunchuk and the Wii-mote as two different (and expensive) controllers. As far as controllers go I have 2 Wii-motes, 2 nunchuks, and 2 “classic” controllers. This way I figure I’ll get half of my controller costs out of the way. Spending $40 for the Wii-mote and then $20 for a nunchuk seems to be a little ‘bit of a money grab to me.
Well damn you Nintendo and your gaming goodness, you grabbed me. Now I’m off to go wait curb side for Super Smash Bros. Brawl to be delivered… what are you talking about, I don’t have a problem!

I love video games images, I think the old NES and SNES days deliver a lost art that you just don’t see with today’s video games. Plus I guess there is some nostalgia wrapped up in my feelings about it too.
If you want to cover you computer’s desktop with some video game levels - time to visit desktopgaming.com.
They have content from just about every old video game system you can think of and honestly I could spend hours just browsing through the images. Right now I am using the World of Ruin map from Final Fantasy 6 but later I know I must at least try to have the 1st level from Super Mario Bros.
I just wish somebody had a better world map (I want the whole thing) from the Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past. Want to make your own? They have a tutorial that will teach you the ways.
Many props go out to Todd for finding this jewel.

I picked up Brain Age for my new Nintendo DS Lite the other day, because I had heard such rave reviews for how unique and different it was. Am I impressed? Yep!
Brain tests and teasers have always gotten my attention. This game delivers that and I also am no longer confused about how to exactly fill out a Sudoku puzzle. It is a good game to pick up and play for a few minutes while killing time or while relaxing after a long day of work.
Day one my brain age ended up being 73. Day two? I made it down to 72. If 20 is suppose to be the ideal age, I think I still have a ways to go.

I finally got my new toy in the mail yesterday. What is that toy? A Nintendo DS Lite! Now that I own a Nintendo DS Lite and a PlayStation Portable I think I am pretty ready to do a side by side comparison.
Good Things About Nintendo DS Lite
1. Original and Different Way of Playing Games.
2. Bright Screen - I Would Say Even Brighter Than the PSP.
3. All Your Favorite Old School Titles Will Be or Are There.
Good Things About the PlayStation Portable
1. It Can Act as a Portable Media Machine as Well with Photos, Music and Videos.
2. More Functionality With Homebrew and Custom Firmwares.
3. A Different Game Libary - Good Games There Too.
Which is better? As you can see both have their good points, so I would have to say it has to do with what you want from your portable gaming experience. If you want fun and different I would pick a Nintendo DS Lite. If you want a media manager and good looking games - go with the PlayStation Portable.

Well after much debate inside of my own mind, I finally broke down and bought a Nintendo DS Lite. I have been wanting one for some time - and I figured it was about time I had something new to tinker and play with.
So I went ahead and went to Amazon to go order it - but Houston, we had a problem. Well before we get to the problem, let me show you the nice message I got from Amazon.
The same image that made me think everything was going to be ok.

That is the first message I saw that got me all excited before I hit the order button. “Oh boy!” I had thought to myself, I can get it and it will be here on Tuesday. Well after going through the order process, I noticed this inside of my Amazon account:

What? Amazon - you just told me it would be here on Tuesday, not it won’t be here till next Tuesday? What the heck is that all about? Now I have always had a very good history with Amazon and they have never done me wrong before. I am still holding out hope that they get things together here.
Now some of you might say, “Hey, what is a week of waiting?” but when I already thought I was going to get it on Tuesday and then I am told seconds later something different, it makes me mad.
After checking the link this morning - I see it is no longer available via Amazon directly anymore. Now will this make me stop being an Amazon customer? Probably not. I am just kind of surprised that it took me this long to have my first bad experience with them.
