There are not a lot of choices when it comes to finding a great music player out there. Clementine is the best modern music player and library organizer that I bet you’ve never heard of. The focus of Clemintine is to be a fast and easy to use program for playing your collection of music.
Modern Music Player
Foobar2000
I am really out of the loop when it comes to programs that play music. Sure, you could use Windows Media Player if you are a Windows users like me. It isn’t that bad. However, I was looking for something a little more lightweight. So, what free audio player did I end up turning to? Foobar2000.

Web Hosting Show Podcast Updates
For those of you who might not have noticed, one of my other projects – WebHostingShow.com got a little ‘bit of a face lift yesterday, mainly as far as the logo goes. This did give me an excuse to spruce up a few other features that are well worth checking out too.
How do you like that new logo, by the way? It was designed my my good friend and graphic design specialist, Sean Barton. I’m personally pretty proud of it – as it is pretty much the logo I always wanted for the show, but never had the time or the skill to put together. Want to learn more about the web hosting industry? The web hosting show is both a podcast and web site dedicated to helping anybody from novices to experts learn more about how to make the web hosting world work for them. Coby MP305-4G MP3 Player Review
My Zen Stone Plus MP3 player died on me a couple of weeks ago (wouldn’t hold a charge anymore) so I had to go search for a new one. Most people go to Apple when they want an MP3 player – however I stayed on a different route and picked up the horribly named Coby MP305-4G MP3 Player.
Now why not go towards a more expensive product like the iPod line of players? Well, I need something that is cheap enough that I don’t feel bad dropping it in my pocket, and letting it get beat up a little ‘bit while I do work outside. I’m afraid if I got something like an iPod Touch I would be cradling the thing like a new born baby, which for my needs, it just does not fit.
Back to the Coby MP305-4G, it is not a bad little player in it’s own right. Some of the features include:
- 4 GB of Flash Memory
- Built in USB 2.0 Interface
- Has Built in FM Radio (which will probably never be used)
It runs off a single triple A battery, which is a test really to see if I like that more, or the rechargeable battery I had with the Zen Stone Plus. Couldn’t tell you the battery life yet – cause it has yet to run out. Overall, if your looking for a cheap MP3 player you can slap some stuff onto and get back to work – I would highly recommend the Coby MP305-4G. If your looking for something that has tons of bells and whistles, you might want to look elsewhere.
EMFF – Easily the Best Audio Player via Flash
The Easy Musicplayer For Flash, or otherwise known as EMFF, is in my opinion easily the best free audio player, built in flash. I have been using it to provide a player on up to six of my latest shows on webhostingshow.com.
What makes it so cool? Well, for one, it does not take a college degree to get started with. The creator of the player gives a simple four steps to get it up and running:
- Download and extract the latest ZIP file from here
- Use the Code Generator to create your own HTML code
- Copy the appropriate skin file (e.g. “emff_standard.swf”) from the “skins” directory to your website directory
- Have fun!
It does not lack in the features department either. It provides volume control, keyboard shortcuts, play, stop, pause, previous, next, Show information about a track and much more.
So if you have looked at my past list of the 5 best flash podcast players, and they didn’t do it for you, give EMFF a chance at playing your MP3s.

On podcast #180 covered these specific domain terms:
On podcast #181 rounded things out with these domain terms:
