The main job of this excellent little program is to monitor any number of Gmail inboxes and labels. You can customize each account with individual colors and sounds too. You can also instantly rely to emails, without even having to open your web browser. It is also fully compatible with Google Apps and the standard free Gmail e-mail accounts too.

The features do not stop there. You can also use it to monitor multiple Google Talk accounts, receive desktop alerts for calendar events, get the latest Google news feeds or stay up to date with the current weather conditions. Any RSS feed can also be directly plugged into Scott’s Gmail Alert, for easy access to your favorite website stories.

Your registration (which is only $3) will unlock support for monitoring an unlimited number of Gmail accounts, the Calendar functions and RSS feed monitoring.

Go give it a shot – I can promise you that you will not find another Gmail monitoring program that does so much.

I recently retired my old Samsung monitor, and brought in a replacement. While I work on getting a more official review in order for my new Samsung Touch Of Color 25.5-Inch LCD HDTV Monitor I thought I could at least share my unboxing photos with all of you. Thus far I have been really impressed with it – and I’ll be sure to post more of my thoughts very soon.

There is the side of the box, giving all the geeky details.

The box is now open, what kind of mysteries are inside? (and did I open this thing upside down?)

After digging the monitor out, I thought it would be worth it to do a side by side comparison. New monitor is on the left and old monitor is on the right.

All plugged in and ready to roll. Here is the Samsung Touch Of Color 25.5-Inch LCD HDTV Monitor all plugged in, and ready for work. It also doubles as a TV too – just got to find room on the desk to plug something into it, PS3? Wii? or maybe go old school and find an NES?

There you have it. I’ll be sure to post more of my thoughts on the Samsung Touch Of Color 25.5-Inch LCD HDTV Monitor very soon. So far though, I would give it a huge two thumbs up.

Facebook Fan Page Come join the fun on the Mitchelaneous Facebook Fan Page!

Short of taking a chainsaw to your monitor, all Evil Dead like, there aren’t a lot of good ways to split it up into multiple regions to make working an organized experience. Thanks to Ryan over at Cybernetnews.com I can put my chainsaw away, and get to using MaxTo. MaxTo will help you split your current monitor into virtual regions, that can serve as a constraint when maximizing windows.

Once you install it, the setup is pretty easy to understand. You just setup how you want you desktop to be split, hit the OK button and it is done. If you find yourself overwhelmed by having too many programs or windows floating around your desktop – give MaxTo a shot. Previously I had been doing this same type of desktop reorganization on my own, but MaxTo does it for me – and in turn saves me a lot of tweaking time.

Facebook Fan Page Come join the fun on the Mitchelaneous Facebook Fan Page!

So far I have been so happy with my new Samsung 226BW 22-Inch Digital/Analog Widescreen LCD Monitor. Look at it – it is just so darn pretty I could cry!

I had to get rid of my old monitor – not because it wore out but because I needed a bigger work space on my desktop and the back stand for the old one just didn’t work the way it should anymore. It is kind of hard to put into words – but I had to stick a hacky sack behind the monitor so that the monitor’s face wouldn’t tilt down so low I had to sit on the floor to use it and type.

I had heard a few bad reviews about this same model after I bought it so I am happy to hear I apparently got one of the good ones. Best thing about the deal was at Amazon – the price after rebate was only $254.97. Now that is a bargain! With this being my second Samsung, I have to say they have done well by my standards yet again.

Facebook Fan Page Come join the fun on the Mitchelaneous Facebook Fan Page!
