You can do great things, but if nobody knows – did you really do them at all? After reading a recent interview with Richard Branson, on building a brand for your business, something he said really made me think.

In the world of business, there are several aggressive marketing strategies you can try, to see which might work best for your situation. The risk and reward might vary, depending on how assertive you want to be.
As a business, you never want to sit on your hands, so take a look at these four different aggressive marketing strategies and you tell me, which one might benefit your needs. You can break these marketing strategies into four types, you have reactive marketing, analyzer marketing, defender marketing and prospector marketing.
When developing content or selling goods, don’t be afraid to take the stuff you have created on the road. If you want people to see your website or the things you are doing, you have to leave the safe area of your own server and venture out to where the people are.

You are correct in assuming that coupons alone are not that great of a marketing gimmick. They are short, gimmicky and only give you a little fulfillment before you remember the stark reality that you have been hooked in. In that way, it is kind of like finding a half eaten chocolate bar on the road. Sure it is half gone, and you don’t know who was eating this last – but hey, at least it is free.
So what makes a coupon or deal an effective marketing tool, and should you be careful of?
The term mobile is another word that has changed over time. A few years back, you would have though of mobile as the practice of moving from here to there. These days though, you say mobile, and somebody around you will yell out "phone!". OK, maybe they don’t yell it out, like we are in the middle of a game of Marco, Polo – but you get what I am trying to say. The world of mobile marketing has changed too.
I am going to look at both types of mobile marketing today – and you tell me, which method works best for you?
I don’t care who you are, or what it is you do. We all are marketers. Now, when you think of the dictionary definition or marketing, you think of a guy in a suit coming up with wacky ideas to sell invention X. This classic definition of a marketer doesn’t mean much in modern times. The internet has given us all the power to share our voices on a world wide stage, and to market everything from our websites, to our blogs, to our stores and more.

When you find yourself in a business where everybody has the same thing to sell, you have to find ways to make yourself stand out from the rest of the crowd. One way of accomplishing this goal is to sell the service, as well as the product. The idea is that you could get the mysterious product X from anybody out there, but you should get it from this place because of this, that or the other.
Word of mouth advertising is the single best way you can spread the word about how great your product is. If you organize the way your handle your customer relationships better, then in turn – your word of mouth advertising will grow. One phrase you do not hear tossed around much in marketing is customer relationship management. This is the kind of broad strategy for managing your interactions with your customers or clients. It might include marketing information, customer service or technical support. The idea is that with a good customer relationship management in place, you can attract new clients and nurture the client/business relationships you already have.

Search engine optimization is another form of marketing, you you might not have thought was marketing before. SEO, at it’s core, is the process of improving visibility of a website in search engines by learning what works and what doesn’t work – as far as website content goes. Your website is one of the most important ways you can reach new eyeballs or clients, so lets learn more about how you can do so more successfully.
When you are marketing, it is important to keep your finger on the pulse of what the people want, need and love. So, what is the most effective way to find out what that might be? Do not make it too complicated on yourself, just ask them.
