Just got the latest edition of Ping! Zine at my door yesterday, and I do have to say it is great cover to cover, front to back. Yes, I also had an article in it this month, Website Hosting vs Personal Backup Hosting (check it out on page 46).

This is a ‘bit of a good surprise (well it was for me at least). Just found out that the latest edition of Ping! Zine should be in your mail boxes soon and I’ll have two featured articles inside. Be sure to look out for The Web Hoster’s Tool Belt and Firefox for Webmasters while reading this month’s edition. Ping! Zine’s newest edition is out in PDF (paperback should be coming to your mailbox in a few weeks) and you might be surprised to see who made it back into the magazine. This is my first time in a while to write up something for the magazine (mainly due to time issues) but starting next year one of my resolutions is to do my best to make more time for it.
One thing that never has gotten old yet is seeing my name in it. I really hope that doesn’t sound egotistical but I remember just being a fan of the publication and loving it - so actually being a part of the fun, it still gets me excited and hyped up. Read the rest of this entry »

It looks like Ping! Zine has gone from a free Web hosting magazine to a “subscription” based one. This is big news because I think at least, it means they have a chance of becoming successful enough to charge for it. For the folks out there that still want one of the best hosting magazines for free though - I have a place to send you. Lets just keep this our little secret.
