Paint.NET continues to be an inspiration for my creativity. The more tutorials I find, the more things I want to try out myself – or tweak to fit my own needs.
I have been playing a lot more with Paint.NET lately, trying to get back in tune with my more creative side. One thing I never realized was there are a lot of great tutorials out there for it, but it is hard to find the best ones. Here are the top ten best Paint.NET tutorials I have run across so far.
It is amazing how advanced Paint.NET has gotten over the years. Also, if your used to the graphic editor layout – it is really easy to pick up and use too. Know of any other great tutorials?
Need some tiled bliss to lay on the background of your own recent web creation? BgPatterns.com is the background generator that you want to use. Not only does it have dozens of designs to pick from, you can also set the color, size of the design, and also the level that it is rotated at.
I promise you, once you get started you will see this is just more fun to figure out if you play with it some… change your colors up, and try to get as creative as you can. Want to see an example of the end result? I used the first background I made on my Twitter profile.

Why do it in Photo Shop or Paint Shop Pro when you can do it Online for free? Here are the best (and not so best) of the Online photo or graphic editing tools I could find these days in no specific order.

Over at Icojoy, one of the best stock icon web sites out there today, I noticed they not only sell icons but they have a free section too. If your on a cheap budget and you need to pick up some great icons you may wish to give them a shot.
At the time of writing this they have seven great set to choose from and use for free. Feel free to use them on your blog and be sure to thank the Iconjoy team for releasing them out for all to use and enjoy.
UpPush.com is yet another of many free file hosting services out there that touts itself as being for “everybody”. They support .jpg, .gif, .png, .tiff, and .bmp uploads too so that almost covers all of your basic image formats.
The only regulations mentioned is “no adult content” which is reasonable and they are also the sister site to FileBig.com – a web site reviewed here a few days ago. UpPush is definitely worth checking out if you need a free image hosting resource that is both quick and easy to use.
Looking for a for a free place to upload a few of your pictures? There is no shortage of places online, I can promise you that for sure. Over the past few weeks I’ve been gathering my own list up, checking it twice and have found for you 42 of the best photo or graphic hosts out there today.

Finding yourself in need of some fancy new bullets to make your web page really stand out from the rest? When it comes to lists, we have all see the little black circles (otherwise known as the dots of doom) for way too long. Refresh your own lists and pick up some free bullet images for your web site or project.
You have the choices of small, small and dull, and or (for the dynamic web designer) small and colorful. Check out the full list of them and be sure to thank the folks if you do use their images.

What is a favicon? It is that little icon that appears next to your URL in the browser of your choice. This helps you identify the Web site quicker – and also with some browsers, allows you to have an easier time finding specific links in your bookmarks.
