Some people out there watch disaster movies, just to see the panic, destruction and frankly, watching stuff blow up. I have a feeling that MSNBC fans are of the same ilk.
Here is some of their Democratic National Convention coverage:
It is not often you can mix funny with web hosting. Thanks to the latest issues of Ping! Zine, I was turned onto a new comic that covers the web development side of things Web of Pain. Browsing through the archives on their web site, I had a lot of fun. This one still sticks out as my favorite thus far…
Well worth visiting to see the comics up so far. It is updated every second Monday, so there will be more fresh content worth checking out soon! Enter the Web of Pain!
Need a totally off the wall and oddball way of explaining bandwidth to your friends? This video (from what I guess is a commercial for Internet access from Hong Kong) should do the job.
If you don’t find that funny, you don’t deserve to laugh! (via HostingBookmarks.com)
I miss the old television sitcoms where they had fake laughter of a studio audience mixed in or other various sound effects you just don’t get on today’s TV shows. If you too long for adding some of these sound effects to your own life keep these bookmarks handy:
InstantRimshot.com - Say something funny? Have this shinny red button ready to at least keep yourself amused when others don’t laugh.
SadTrombone.com - On the other side of the spectrum you have the ever popular, sad trombone. Keep it within your mouse’s reach when you mess up and want to let the world know of this sad sad event.
Many thanks to DS for finding these secret treasures of the Internet. Now all we need is the “Whooooooo” for when people used to kiss on TV. Any takers?
I must have a deep seeded aggression against orange cats for some reason. Coming from the comments, I got passed this link to the Garfield Christmas Special. The odd thing is that Garfield (and Oddie) have both been edited out of it. Not sure how they did it but it does make for an interesting (and much shorter) version of the story.
Also, not to spoil anything - but make sure you watch it all the way to the end.
