Sitehoover Brings Better Visual Bookmarking

Sitehoover is doing a great job at giving you a single place to save some of your favorite bookmarks, and share them with others. The idea here is to bring all the bookmarks you like or find “the best” and store them in one location.

Need Organizing Help? Colorful Vista Folders!
Remember a few posts past, when I asked if anybody had a solution for Windows Vista color coded folders? I had this on Windows XP with the help of programs like Folderico. That is when I decided it might be better off creating my own colorful Vista folder icon pack so I could just do this myself – no extra program needed!
Download the Vista Colorful Folder Pack! (.zip)
All of the icons are in the .ico format, and supports the following sizes:
256 x 256, 128 x 128, 64 x 64, 48 x 48, 32 x 32, 24 x 24, 16 x 16
Why color code your folders? Having color coded folders for certain documents is more than just about “making things pretty”. It is also very helpful when it comes to getting things done. Let’s say you use the green folder for your bills, green is the color of money – hence it makes you jump right to it instead of having to hunt through all those yellow folders.
Depending on how popular these are, I might release more colored folders in the future. Feel free to use them however you like. If you pass it around to a friend, might also mention where you got it and ask them to subscribe to my RSS feed for more!
Replace Folder Icons with Boxes
What is so great about your traditional yellow boring folder? Nada! Zip! Nothing! It is boring and yes – even a little dull to toss on top of the uncreative cake.
Why use folder icons when you could use box icons? Here is an awesome set of 456 box icons that will help you get started with the movement of moving away from the folder and into the box.
I found this set and thought they did look really neat myself and there is a folder for nearly any and every reason you would need one.
Gmail 2 Greasemonkey Scripts
As some might have realized by now, the new Gmail is great and all – but it breaks a lot of old Greasemonkey scripts that i have grown to love. Over time though, it seems that these crafty developers won’t be held down. Instead they are re-tooling their work and getting them back out there for the public to enjoy.
Here is the list of Greasemonkey scripts that are now working with the new Gmail 2 interface.
- Gmail Beautifier 2.0 – show/hide ads sidebar and few other tweaks.
- Gmail Label Colors NG – Colored labels in Gmail.
- Mailto 2 Webmail – Forces mailto links to use Gmail.
- Folders4Gmail – Adds folders to Gmail.
- Older Version Gmail Title – Ditches e-mail address in page title.
- Gmail Spam-count Hide – Hides your spam count number.
- Gmail Show Details – Get more header info on e-mails.
Some of these have been wrapped into the new Better Gmail 2 (from the Lifehacker crew) and I am sure others will follow suit. Know of any others that I might have missed?
