Thanks to Ping.fm I can finally be apart of more of these social sites without jumping here and there every time I want to update something. The best way to describe it is that it is a tool that just brings it all together. You can do status updates, blog updates, or micro-blog updates depending on the tools you are using it with.
Currently, here are the places you can follow me:
Bebo, Facebook, Hi5, LinkedIn, LiveJournal, Mashable, MySpace, Plurk, Pownce, Tumblr, and of course everybody’s favorite red headed step child Twitter.
Of course I’m not just looking for multiple avenues to plug and market myself, I’ve also been just sharing random Mitch-like nuggets of wisdom and random things that pop into my head that I just need to get out during the day.
Ping.fm is my new best friend on this social Web we live on today.

Here are the social tools I use thus far in the order that I use them (from least to most). I do my best to try everything, but these are some that I have actually signed up for and used.
Flickr - I really need to get back into photography, guess I can’t blame this one on Yahoo or Flickr. It is my fault I can’t find time to pick up the ol’ camera.
MyBlogLog - This used to be really active and exciting - well, until everybody wanted to be friends with everybody and I started getting messages from threatening strippers.
Pownce - * See MyBlogLog (really don’t even visit this much anymore)
LinkedIn - I am amazed I use Linkedin as much as I do. At first, it was just a kind of MySpace for “grown ups” but now it is a useful tool to get in contact with some of the movers and shakers in the hosting industry.
Twitter - I like to skim through Twitter a few times a day, and I do have to say even though I wasn’t a believer at first I really like this tool for a lot of reasons. I sipped the Kool-aid, and I like the taste.
Facebook - This is another one of those tools that I probably should spend more time playing with but I don’t. Login once a day, skim through the news feed - put I promise I’ll change, well perhaps.
MySpace - I hate MySpace to death, but since I know more people on it than anywhere else I am stuck with it. Kind of like the old girlfriend you know has done you wrong but you keep coming back because the other girls just don’t look at you the same way. Oh yeah, and the strippers on MySpace are friendlier.
Am I missing out on one? I like to get everything a shot - but with a dozen coming out daily it is hard to try them all. Maybe I should just start up a Ning! network for one of my projects and be done with it?

Need a good hosting gimmick? Well take free - and then take one of the hottest web sites out there and I think you have a good mix. The people at Joyent must have had that in mind when they decided they were going to give people working to make Facebook better.
In an article on Information Week’s web site this was said:
“Joyent is offering the “Accelerator,” as the company’s on-demand infrastructure subscription service is known, for Facebook developers in conjunction with Dell, which is supplying the server infrastructure for the program. The Dell servers run Open Solaris.”
Now I don’t think there is anything crooked here, Joyent is a great company run by great people. I think this is a real steal and deal for people working on Facebook applications and if they are looking for hosting they should stand up and take notice.

I’m working on a little side article and project, but I need your help! How can you help me? Add me to your list of friends on Facebook. Come on, you know you’d do it without me asking.
+ View Mitch’s Profile on Facebook! Add him because he is Mitchtastic!
I want to see it in comparison with MySpace and a few others to see which one is the better social meeting engine and which one would be better for marketing, and a lot of other things. It isn’t often that I do something this vain, so hopefully a few of you will help me out.
