GridMove is a program that aims at making windows management easier. It helps you with this task by defining a visual grid on your desktop, to which you can easily snap windows. This program comes bundled with some predefined grid templates, that can be easily swaped, but also has ways of creating custom grids or sharing grids made by others.

The software allows various background colors, with optional gradient effect, to be set for the desktop notes. You can also customize the font of each note and set it to be semi-transparent so it will not fully cover up your desktop background or icons. To fully protect your privacy, the software encrypts the login password with the irreversible SHA algorithm and also encrypts data files.

You can also style Efficient Sticky Notes to match your wallpaper or desktop, search through past notes you have taken, and recover notes that you may have accidently deleted by mistake too.

First things first, you can now log into the service using more than just your Twitter handle.  You can now sign in with your Google login information as well as Facebook, LinkedIn, Yahoo, or Windows Live.  The only thing you have to remember is once you sign in via one of these other accounts, you will need to remember how you signed in before.  (So if you log in via Twitter, always log in via Twitter) 

The also have decided to provide a little more optimized experience when it comes to video playback with their own universal player.  Whenever somebody is viewing your content for their phone (just as an example) they should get a player optimized for mobile devices. When somebody check out your videos via their desktop machines, they get delivered a version of the player that is more optimized for desktop playback.  You can also choose to publish your videos to YouTube (although, depending on the resolution of the video – this may look great or really crummy) or download the video as a .mp4 for backup purposes.

If you haven’t played around with Screenr yet, there really isn’t any reason not to anymore.  They make it brain-dead simple to get your quick screencast you want to create from your imagination to the public at large.

It might sound a little strange to say it out loud, but I like to see pictures of other people’s desks.  Thankfully though, this is the Internet – where people have other odd traits like odd obsessions with furry anime characters – so when you stop and think about it, checking out other people’s desk setups might not be that odd.  Deskography is a website dedicated to showing the world where you work and has tons of interesting desktop setups that might even inspire you to change your own corner nook around a little ‘bit.

At Deskography, you have two options.  You can either upload a photo of your own desk setup or you can browse through all the photos already submitted.  I like to organize things so seeing how others have set up their own desks makes me think, "Oh, maybe I could move X, Y and Z around to look a little better?".

After playing Minecraft for a while, you quickly learn that the scariest thing you can encounter is a Creeper.

Flickr is a great way to share your photos online, but using the browser tools might seem a little cumbersome to some people out there. If you want to upload photos directly from your PC to Flickr with only a few clicks in between, then you need the Flickr Uploadr.

With this free program, you simply right click on any image you wish to upload to Flickr, choose “Send to Flickr” and you get the window that is pictured above.  You can also drag and drop files into the Flickr Uploadr too.  From there tag your photos, write descriptions, give them titles and more.  When you are done, upload and all your images you picked will be up and online on your Flickr profile.

The Flickr Uploadr supports both Mac and Windows, so go download it and start adding new pictures to your own Flickr profile.  You don’t have an excuse now to put it off any longer!

Here are some of the neat features the Facebook Desktop program has to offer:

• Automatic login. Stay logged in until you log out!
• Notifies you of new messages
• Notifies you of new wall posts
• Notifies you of new pokes
• Notifies your of new friend requests

The requirements are pretty basic too.  You must have Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7, a Facebook account and the .NET Framework 2.0 from Microsoft.  That’s it.
