As somebody who likes the unique and different stuff out there on the Web, when I see a nice looking WordPress theme I can’t help myself - I have to go “ohh” and “ahh” with the rest of them. One nice theme that you could get giddy over for hours and hours is The Dark Theme.
It has a classy look, yet still has that new Web 2.0ish feeling to it. I like it.

This is a really nice and really dark WordPress theme that I really like. Is that enough “really” for you to give it a shot? I’ve been looking at a lot of WordPress themes lately and have come to realize there are a lot out there - just not a lot of really good ones.
Here’s a little description taken from the designers:
After a huge success of our theme called “ygo lonely”, we have come up with this - a slightly twisted version of the same named YGo Loner. It is again a 3 column wordpress theme with black and grey as the dominating colors. The page links are on the top bar with title and description towards the left. Two grey lines outline, the header, intelligently merging it with the body of the text.

I just ran across my new favorite visual style for Windows XP on Deviant Art. It is dark, beautiful and more functional than most of the ones you find out there.
Now as long as there are cool visual style designers like this out there in the world, I have no real need to upgrade to Vista for a visual change. It has been a long time since I used that old big and blue default Windows XP theme.
Have a look at it for yourself.

I am running it on my laptop right now, and I will be putting it on my desktop really soon. To use it yourself, you will need to replace your uxtheme.dll (pretty easy process, not too hard to do).
