Would you like to get Facebook and Twitter messages in a much more familiar format?  Paper.li will let you read your favorite Twitter tweets and Facebook messages like a daily newspaper.  It totally organizes all the incoming messages (from people you select) into a format that is much easier to read for some.

Once you log into the website with either your Facebook or Twitter login information – you can decide how you want to create your newspaper.  For example, when I logged into the service with Twitter I had the options to create a newspaper based on a Twitter user, a Twitter tag or a Twitter list.

Another great feature of Paper.li is the ability to share your newspaper with others.  You can discover many great sources of news right from the Paper.li front page that will give you interesting links and stories from sources you may have never even known about.

Who wouldn’t love to have their desktop decorated in old retro video game boxes from the NES era of gaming?  I’m back with another collage of NES box art for your to download and use as wallpaper.

Feel free to download this wallpaper, and use it all you want.  It is 1920×1200 in size (because, well – that is my screen resolution) and I figured that should be big enough for others to re-size as they see fit.

I learned a lesson from the first NES box art wallpaper I put out, it was hard to see icons with all the colors and clutter.  So this time around, I made it a little dimmer – so you can still see the box art, but your icons or anything else on your desktop should be more easily read.

Drop in with a comment if you like it, and I might be putting another one of these out from old NES box art images I have been saving from the Web.

Need a simple way to like this, that or the other via Facebook?  FBLiky is that tool.  This online tool will let you share your “likes” on Facebook.  All you have to do is type in something that you like, and let the website do the work.

So as you have seen in the picture above, I decided to share the fact I like vienna sausages.  Once you hit the button labeled, “Publish” you are taken to a page designed specifically for that thing you like.

Now, you can click the “Like” button, to be the first of your friends to like this or leave a comment on the page using the Facebook connect social plugin.  I clicked the like button, because I don’t want to seem like a liar or anything.  I do love some vienna sausages.  So now, back on your Facebook profile you will see this.

There you have it.

Now that Google Buzz is out in the wild, your Google profile page deserves a little more attention.  So, what all have you done to spruce up your own profile page?  I’ll share with you some of the things I did to make this a much more informative page about me for Googlers to find.

First things first, you need to setup your Google profile page.  If you are logged into Google in any way (for example, with a Gmail account) this is fairly easy to do.  All you need to do is set it up at Google.com/profiles.

Once you fill out all the basic information, then you might want to start thinking about what pages you want to show up in the links section.

To add custom links, just go to your Google profile page, click on Edit Profile, then scroll down to the Links section.  You should see several links Google knows about, that you have given it before – then you can also add your own.  I have added links to all my various web pages, and then my Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and MySpace profiles.

Next, you should setup Google Buzz via your Gmail account.  Once you do, anything you post via Google buzz – you will automatically share on your Google profile page.

Now there are a lot more various boxes and basic you can fill out via the Google profile page, but they are all pretty self explanatory.  With the tips I gave you here, you can use your Google profile page as a social landing page for your own work and also a better way to let people know who you are and what you do.

Was in search for a few new visual styles for my laptop computer, and ran across these the other day on Deviant Art. Now there are a lot of ugly visual styles out there meant to replace the candy coated Windows XP skin but these three are very sleek.
