So you want to get up and going with your own WordPress powered web site, but you are afraid of installing it on your own? Thankfully there are a few ways you can get it installed without having to left a finger FTP client.
One solution would be to look and see if your web host has Fantastico installed. Via this cPanel addon you could have WordPress auto-install for you. Just login to your cPanel, and then go down to Fantastico and then find WordPress in the left navigation bar. Follow the on screen instructions and your set.
The second option would be to let the people at Install4Free do it for you. This is a team of volunteers who offer expert installs of WordPress for anybody who wants one. Now passing over your login details to your hosting account might seem like a bad idea but I have heard nothing but positive reviews of them thus far.
For me the WordPress install process has not ever been to difficult. I could see though where some people may be intimidated by it though. If there was third option I would suggest trying to install it yourself first.

As I start working on next week’s edition of the Web Hosting Show podcast, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to take a look back at last week’s digital masterpiece.
The highlight of the show for me as far as advice goes was should web hosts listen to the customers - even if they are an angry mob trying to beat down your proverbial door? I say always - but then again, I’m all about making good public relations. Here are just a few other topics from this week’s episode of the Web Hosting Show.
- Another cPanel Backup Tool Review - Site Backup CP!
- Best Blogging Scripts this Side of the Hosting River!
- A New Hosting News and Resource Link Suggestion!
- Tease on My Article in the Next Edition of Ping! Zine?
- Better Tools and Tips for Quick Responses!
Check it out on WebHostingShow.com or download the mp3 and listen while you yourself figure out if your going to deal with those angry mindless clients banging at your door. Afraid it might be too late to dig out an escape tunnel.

Almost lost my voice doing yesterday’s podcast recording, so appreciate my excitement about getting this put out there for the public and my lack of probably common sense to stop talking when I should have. On this week’s edition of the Web Hosting Show I covered the following:
- Google PageRank Updates and Debate
- Discrimination Against Southerners in Hosting
- How to Backup Using cPanel
- Best of the Forum Scripts
- ICANN Investigates Insider Domain Registrations
Should be a podcast everybody can get something out of. If not, you can have your money back! Jokes on you though, you can listen for free.

Did Mitch sell out?
Yes, I did get another job and I am now working once again inside of the Web hosting industry, but I wouldn’t call myself a sell out.
I would call myself employed. Don’t worry though, nothing will be changing here - and just to prove it to you the Web Hosting Show is now on the air.
Make sure you check it out then send me your feedback at mitch@mitchkeeler.com.
