I wouldn’t really consider myself really excited, but it should be interesting to watch what sort of coverage comes from the event. I noticed over at Clickfire they will be covering the event. I also have a few friends that will be there as well.

How come I am skipping out on the event this year again?

Eh, it’s a long trip and I’m not sure how big the payoff might be. Right now I am happy to watch from the sidelines and see how many of the big hosting web sites cover it if they do so at all. HostingCon is the like the Super Bowl of the web hosting industry.

I’m not even sure I would pony up that much cash to go to the conference in person – let alone to hear it all on CD.

Want a cheap alternative? Go check out the Web Hosting Show podcast. There is more free audio and interviews there than you can shake a stick at. I won’t even charge you a penny to go listen to them.

To cut the Hostingcon guys a little credit, it does look like they have uploaded a free podcast for everybody to enjoy.
