I found a new music service that might get me back into the whole world of finding new things to listen to.
The name of the Web site that has brought me so much joy is Amie Street. I haven’t had the time to really get down and dirty with it yet, but so far I like what I see.
Most of the music on the Web site is from independent artists and fairly cheap too. Of course the more popular the artist becomes, the more expensive the music downloads might be. All the songs start out as free - and can rise to 98 cents.
What about DRM protection? None to be found!
We have no DRM on our mp3’s, so once you buy them, they’re yours. Put them on your iPod, your computer, a CD you made for road trips, or anything else you can come up with.
So if you are looking for a a new way to discover some awesome new bands, give it a shot. You might even be able to find a few coupons out there to give you an even better free sample of what you can do with the service. If you join up, add me as a friend - I am interested in seeing how that aspect works as well.

Want to know how I put together the Web Hosting Show podcast? I recently wrote up a podcasting guide for the Lunartics blog - and thought I would share it here as well. I am a big believer in not having to pay much to get your projects up and going.
Now as you can tell from the About Our BlogSTARS! Web page, I am no stranger to the art of podcasting. In fact, in February I will be celebrating my two year anniversary of creating them for the public. Now one question that I get sent my way a lot is how do I do it?

The entire Mega Man series is one that I grew up playing religiously. I am not sure if I can put my finger on exactly what in it is so addicting to me though. Maybe it is all the pits with spikes? Maybe it is that face to face with one of the bosses? Whatever it is, I recently got hooked again.
The other day I picked up Mega Man Powered Up for my PlayStation Portable. Now the “cuteness” of the game might make more than a few folks avoid it. If you can get beyond that though - there is a lot of fun to be had. Out of all the PSP games I have played thus far, Mega Man Powered Up is the best.
The best part about the game is the construction mode. Even when I have beat the game, there is still more fun to be had. I can create my own stages with the easy to use editor inside of the game. I really wish more games came with this feature.
Now I know I don’t give my thoughts on video games that much here. For what it is worth though, I suggest everybody who has a PSP to drop $20 and pick up this game.

You would think that these political big-wigs could afford a good Web host. I found this ‘bit of news from DailyKos.com really interesting.
They are paying $15/month for hosting at a place called MyHostCamp, with a bandwidth limit of 10GB. MyHostCamp is currently down, along with all their clients.
I don’t think this is so much them trying to be cheap though. Lieberman’s team probably thinks the same thing a lot of folks out there think. A Web host is a Web host, and they are all pretty much the same. As a guy who comes from the Web hosting industry, there couldn’t be a more untrue statement.
Maybe I should send the Lieberman camp a link to the Web Hosting Show Podcast?

Some of you have asked about the new Hostaga image and link on the Web site. Well, since the route of sponsorship (or as I like to call it “supporter”) worked so well for the Web Hosting Show, I figured I would try it out here. I’ve known the owner, Tris, for some time now, and I know he runs a tight ship.
So how has the experiance been so far? I have to say I have been more than impressed. They might be a little smaller than your average Web hosting company, but that isn’t always a bad thing.
So if you are looking for a good Web hosting deal, you might give them a shot.
