That was my thought Wednesday morning while working. Now when you miss a TV show there are several ways you can go to see it again. I could have searched for a rerun, but that would take too long. I haven’t ever downloaded any TV shows via one of the many services out there – so I thought this would be a perfect chance to try it out.

My first thought was to go to iTunes to download it. I checked, and it was available. Where’s the problem? I don’t want to keep it on my computer, and I want to be able to re-download it. There does the iTunes idea out the Window.

Next I remembered Amazon’s Unbox service. I found The Shield listed, but they still did not have Tuesday night’s episode.

There is always the torrent way – finding a seed for it somewhere, but that was ridiculously slow. Plus, if I can get a good quality video and get it fast, I don’t mind paying for it.

My last ditch effort paid off though. I found Direct2Drive after doing a little searching, and they had what I needed. Whoo hoo! Other than needing Internet Explorer to get it going (yuck) it was not a bad experience at all.

That is why I plugged the Digg – add mirrors script into my Greasemonkey extension for Firefox. It adds a nice small box of mirrors to the side of the link on Digg. From here, if a link is down, I can still get to the content.
