Clicky Gone is a great program to use if you need to hide your selected windows from public view.  The idea here is to no longer close applications that are taking up too much space in the Windows task bar.  Instead, let Clicky Gone hide them for you.

This application is very small and really gets the job done.  It also comes enabled with a “Boss Mode” that should help you hide your eBay searching, and show you working, just in case the boss happens to stroll by your desk.    The Boss Mode will also mute your sound too.

Some of the other features included are:

• Click and Hide by holding down keyboard modifiers
• Run hidden windows application’s in the background, i.e Low priority
• Toggle all windows to hide and show
• Boss Key support, hide the active window and mute the sound
• A fancy menu that shows you all your hidden windows
• Prevent click hiding on full screen applications, i.e. Games
• Hide menu on applications caption and taskbar icon
• Process priority menu on applications caption and taskbar icon

Go download either the regular or portable version of Clicky Gone on its official web site.  It is one of the best freeware programs out there to hide your active windows.

Strike Man does a good job at giving me a believable back story.  If all the robot masters had practical uses, Strike Man has be best in Mega Man 10. Now you can use him to replace any icon on your PC.

Popularity among the masses goes a long way these days to building a successful franchise.  One my my favorite new gaming franchises to follow the past six months or so has been Fat Princess.   This over the top capture the flag game with fat princess is tons of fun, and has an ever growing community.

The PlayStation Forums for Fat Princess

This is obviously the biggest and most active community, because it is run by Sony themselves.  Here you can read about glitches, clans or just discuss your favorite way to rescue the fatty in distress.

The Throne Room

A great new set of forums, more focused toward giving visitors everything that the Sony-run forums do not. You have more specific content and categories here, geared towards the “clan” aspect of the Fat Princess game and a lot of other topics to keep people coming back for more. 

Fan Princess

One of the few blog-based fan web sites out there, Fan Princess seems to come back and die off a lot.  When it is up and running though, they do have a lot of interesting topics and discussions posted there.  If you are looking for more Fat Princess news-like content, this is the place to go. 

The Cake Lair

Another new set of forums for that Fat Princess-loving community, The Cake Lair has tons of potential.  In the future, they hope to have more tutorials and talk about strategy, video tutorials on how to master all the various classes and a lot more.

Mega Man 9 was great, and I have a feeling Mega Man 10 is going to be even better.  Although I haven’t picked Mega Man 10 up yet (trying to decide if I want the PS3 version or the Wii version) I couldn’t pass up the chance to do a few more desktop icons for you.

The first Robot Master I’ve picked to create a desktop icon for is Sheep Man.  Yes, he is over the top corny – but that is what makes him such a great selection.  He is this year’s Plug Man.

I do much of my e-mail management from within Gmail.  One of the few annoyances I have found is having somebody tell me they just sent me something, and I have to click through several links to check manually that specific POP account.  By default Gmail uses a common timing algorithm to fetch your POP account mail, but now you can ask them to do it at the click of a button.

Thanks to a new Gmail Labs feature, you can now use the Refresh link to check all your POP mail accounts too.  Just click on the Google Labs green beaker at the top of Gmail, and enable Refresh POP accounts.

Now, if you use Gmail to manage both your Gmail account and your POP mail accounts, you can check all your mail accounts quicker. (via Lifehacker)

Fav4.org provides users with a really simple way to start their browsing on the Web.  The idea here is to setup a simple web site as your browser’s default start page.  You can add up to four of your favorite sites to be highlighted by icons.  I really like the idea here because I like keeping things clean, organized and simple. 

So, can you customize it to suit your own needs? 

Yes, you can!  To customize the settings, just click on the “Site Settings” text at the bottom of the screen.

From there, you have four sections that you can change and edit to suit your own needs.  Each section is pretty self explanatory, so let I will just cover the basics for each one.

• Info – This page gives you the basic instructions on how to get started.
• My Fav4 – From this page, you can select four links to highlight (in icon form) on the front page of your own Fav4 page.  As of right now there are over 75 different sites to choose from.
• Options – The options page allows you to set the links to open in a new window, place a search box on the page, or change the theme from lights on (with a light gray background) or lights off (with a black background).
• Suggest – Have a suggestion of something you would like to see?  Send it to them via this page.
• About – On this last section, you can learn more about the Fav4.org project, and how to follow them on Twitter and Facebook.

So there you have it.  Fav4.org might soon be one of the new favorite destinations on the Web, because it helps you simplify your favorites in a very unique way.  Go check it out at Fav4.org.

Since I started playing Batman: Arkham Asylum on the PS3, I have been on a Batman kick.  To help satisfy my bat-needs while I’m on my bat-computer, I figured I’d go out and seek some bat-wallpaper.  This excellent old school batman logo design really looks nice, and it fits my new monitor’s 1920×1200 screen resolution very well.

Searching for an old Atari 2600 cartridge scan? When I put together the Atari 2600 cartridge wallpaper, I used this web site as my source.  AtariAge.com has a ton of old Atari game cartridge, boxes and more all scanned into their archives.

While most kids my age were playing on the original NES, at the time I was having a fun time with a lot of these classic Atari 2600 games.  Also, some of the art on them are amazing.  They almost have complete painted portraits on the cartridge, and you just don’t see that type of craftsmanship on modern game boxes these days.
