Forms are used on websites to gather information and can sometimes be a pain to put together.  The most common form we all see out there is usually somebody’s “contact me” page. For the low cost of $3, you can get a day pass which allows you to export all you can in 24 hours.  This is really a bargain in comparison to the money and time somebody would charge you and take to do the same task by hand. So, how does it work?  You can use their easy to use website interface to add text, images, shapes and more to your own business card layout.  When you are done – you have the option to print it or save it to print out in another program.  This is a very simple website idea that does one job and does it well.  You have the option of choosing either a round or rectangle layout (although, I have never seen too many round business cards). Just load up the website and put your content into the top box.  Next, hit the button labeled "Ginger it".  Once you do, your text will be reviewed and then in the bottom half of the window, you’ll get your corrections.  While it isn’t perfect – it does do a pretty good job at finding spelling errors and suggesting fixes.

I am sure more formatting or navigation tips will be picked up with time.  Overall, I think Google Plus has great potential and I can not wait to see what they do with the platform next.

So, what is so special about this new social network?  The possibilities are endless.

Google is already the defacto place to turn for millions of people on the web.  People will sign up for Google+ simply because Google says to do so.  The invite only scheme that they have been pulling thus far is very similar to how they treated Gmail a few years back too.  Make something rare to have and you will have even more people fighting to be a part of it.

The part of Google+ I am looking forward to the most is the integration with Google’s other services.  From search, to documents and even video – sharing content with a specific group of people has never been easier.  Google+ does a great job at giving you ways to organize your friends into groups (oh sorry, I mean "circles"), so that you can send one message to Group A and another message to Group B.  Group A can not see what Group B saw, and vice versa.

It might be too early to say Google+ is better than Facebook. Hopefully Google+ will gain enough momentum to give Facebook a run for its money.  Competition is good in any business, and Facebook has been standing alone in the social networking field for way too long.

OK, maybe I can not think of a real practical use for this off the top of my head, but I am sure there is one. Privnote acts as a free way to send top secret notes over the Internet.  You don’t have to register and you don’t need to use a password of any kind. 

Once you write your note out, you get a link to share it.  Once you pass that link along to a friend, that person can click the link to read the note. After they see the note, the message inside can never be pulled up again.  You can also have the option to know when or if your friend saw the note you sent them too.

It might be a little silly, but I am so in love with the absurd idea of self-destructing notes, I just had to share this with you.  Give them a shot at Privnote.com.

Once you load up the website, you are provided with two buttons and a lot of white space.  Just click anywhere on the webpage and start writing.  When you are done, you can either save your thoughts to the pen.io website or save it as a .pdf file.

To get started, just point your browser towards letsname.com.  Then, hit the button labeled "Generate Names".  You will be asked to wait a few seconds as it tries to come up with some good suggestions.  One of the suggestions I got was for jeakers. Let’s name told me right from the results page that this domain is available as a .net right now. It also lets you know if the name is taken on Twitter or not too.

With the exception of the hosting and domain name affiliate links – can’t blame them for trying to make money though – I think this is a neat service to check out.  Find your own unique name at letsname.com.

All you need to do to get started is point your browser towards thin.gs and then type in the link you wish to shorten.  Next, you hit the "Short it" button and then copy your link.  They also have a pretty basic, but still useful API to play with too.  To use it, just point your browser to:

Where "yourdomain.com" is the web address you want to shorten.  You can also drag and drop this bookmarklet to your bookmarks toolbar to use thin.gs on any website to shorten any link.

Pen.io boasts that they are the fastest way to publish online, period. It is true, you can create a beautiful text-based page in seconds and then share it with whomever you wish to share it with too.  Here is a quick example of what the pages look like:

As you can see, they keep things very simple and lightweight.  Now, I wouldn’t say this would be the perfect way to publish an entire website – however it is handy if you want to share something you have written online – but don’t want to go through all the trouble of finding a fancy place to host it.  Just write it up, publish and share the link.  It really is super simple to do.
