File Sharing Made Easy with s4ve.as

s4ve.as free file sharing

Free file sharing sites are a dime a dozen out there, however every so often one catches my eye.  S4ve.as allows you to upload any tile of any size for free and get a link back to it that remains good for 24 hours.  So if you need to quickly send a big file to a friend, this offers itself up as a great solution.

Once you get the link, copy and past it anywhere and share it instantly via e-mail, web page, instant message, status update, tweet, etc. Links are automatically shortened using bit.ly.

The only catch that some people might not like is the link is only live for 24 hours, after that the files in question are removed.  However, if you need a quick way to share anything – S4ve.as is an option better than most.

  • image/photo files (jpeg, gif, png, svg…)

Free File Hosting Search with Gamma Files

Free File Searching If you are looking for a quicker way to search the various free file sharing sites, look no further than Gamma Files.  I just recently stumbled upon this file search engine and I have to say out of the many I have seen it might have the best looking interface.

It gives you the file name, accuracy, file type, size and the search engine it came from.  You can also sort the results by each of these categories, search your search results, and check out the search engine provider’s page for the search term in question.

Word of warning, there is adult content and it also appears there is no real easy way to censor it out.  Other than that though, gammafiles.com looks like a real winner if you are looking for an easy way to find a file hosted on the rapidshare, megaupload and other big file hosting providers out there.

iimmgg.com – bad name, good free hosting?

I have checked out my fair share of free image hosts out there, but nobody’s name has caught my eye more than iimmgg.com.  I’m just glad I’m not plugging this one on the podcast, due to the fact I am not even sure how to say that.

screenshot_en

One funny thing I noticed was they have a notice on the upload page saying, “You must be at least 21 years of age.”  Of course they have no way of telling, so don’t worry too much.

That offer visitor stats, gallery management, editing (via picnik), easy embedding and more.  Looks like all the basic “what should a free hosting service have” boxes have been checked.  After playing with it a ‘bit, iimmgg.com might have a bad name but I think it is yet another good free hosting solution for your images.
