The Legend of Zelda has to be my favorite video game series of all time.  So, with that said – I was ecstatic to see them release a series of  six great wallpapers for anybody to download.  Each wallpaper comes in the following resolutions:

• 1920 x1200
• 1600 x 1200
• 1280 x 1024
• 1280 x 800
• 1280 x 768
• 1024 x 768

Go grab the wallpaper from Nintendo’s Zelda anniversary website.  I really hope this is a start of a trend for Nintendo to release more high resolution video game art from all of their series.

Yes, more Minecraft wallpaper!  I kind of wish the game would allow you to live on a planet like this – it reminds me of a mix of Minecraft and Super Mario Galaxy as a mater of fact.

I have been playing a lot of Minecraft as of late.  It is a very addicting little game.  It is so addictive in fact, it has also taken over my desktop a number of times too. So, this week I thought I would share with you this awesome wallpaper I found based around the slimes in Minecraft.

Still mining away my free time in Minecraft here.  If you haven’t checked it out, you really do not know what you are missing.  The game is really addictive and be warned, will suck up all the free time you have.  To feed my Minecraft need while I can’t play, I thought I would find another wallpaper to keep me entertained.  The Minecraft Creeper Wallpaper by Rob-Fox at Deviant Art does just that.  The creeper is there to remind me to get back to work – or he might just blow a chunk out of my desk and myself.

After playing Minecraft for a while, you quickly learn that the scariest thing you can encounter is a Creeper.

One of these things can come out of nowhere and renovate your creations before you know what happens.  Also, by renovate, I mean they blow a big gapping whole in the side of that thing you just spent several hours creating. So, with that said – why not bring the Creeper to your desktop?

Ever wake up with the urge to freeze somebody and then upcut them over and over again?  I did.  Rather than trying to do the act I previously mentioned, I decided to feed my urges with some Mortal Kombat wallpaper.  This fantastic wallpaper I found takes the old Mortal Kombat dragon logo and gives it a modern and polished update.

I am a big fan of the Green Lantern.  I always have been, since as far back as I can remember.  So, while looking for some post-holiday wallpaper to decorate my desktop with, I figured why not turn towards and old favorite?  This Deviant Art designer deserves a lot of credit because this wallpaper they have created is simply amazing.

If you download the .zip version from the Deviant Art website, you get three different version of this great super hero wallpaper.  There are versions for regular monitors, widescreen monitors and even the iPhone too. 

Just to prove my Green Lantern fan-a-tood a little more – check out this awesome Green Lantern bobble head that now sits next to my monitor (did I mention I had a great Christmas?).
