Need to know what to do just in case the dead start to rise from the grave? Thankfully, the CDC has finally gotten with the times to provide us all with information on how to handle a zombie invasion. Personally, I’m always ready just in case – but for normal people, well lets just say I feel a little better that the rest of the world will now be as prepared as I am.
When you stop and think about it, preparing for zombies is a lot like preparing for any other natural disaster. You need nonperishable food, water, all of your basic medications, then tools and supplies. Duct tape, a radio, tons of batteries and that type of things.
According to the CDC blog, if a zombie apocalypse breaks out, the CDC will investigate the event just like they would any other disease outbreak. CDC investigation and assistance would include "consultation, lab testing and analysis, patient management and care, tracking of contacts, and infection control (including isolation and quarantine)." Just like any other disease outbreak, the CDC would try to determine where and how the outbreak started and would make every effort to determine how to best deal with an outbreak of zombies.
So, feel safe that the CDC is looking out for you and keep that shot gun and chainsaw handy, just in case.
