Website Speed Monitoring with Stella

imageThere is no doubt that website uptime and general performance is important for anybody who heavily replies on keeping their websites up and running.  For a long time, Pingdom has earned my trust as being one of the most reliable website performance monitoring tools to recommend.  However, it might be time to throw one more suggestion your way – blamestella.com.

How to Disable WordPress Admin Bar

WordPress 3.1

I have just started to play with WordPress 3.1 today.  One of the biggest updates that people will either love, or love to hate is the new admin bar that is displayed across the top of your website when you are logged in.  It gives you quick and easy access to some of the most popular administrator features of WordPress.  What if you do not like it? There is a pretty simple way to disable it from showing up.

More Creeper Wallpaper

Still mining away my free time in Minecraft here.  If you haven’t checked it out, you really do not know what you are missing.  The game is really addictive and be warned, will suck up all the free time you have.  To feed my Minecraft need while I can’t play, I thought I would find another wallpaper to keep me entertained.  The Minecraft Creeper Wallpaper by Rob-Fox at Deviant Art does just that.  The creeper is there to remind me to get back to work – or he might just blow a chunk out of my desk and myself.

Gallery of Other People’s Desks

Galleries of Desktop Setups

It might sound a little strange to say it out loud, but I like to see pictures of other people’s desks.  Thankfully though, this is the Internet – where people have other odd traits like odd obsessions with furry anime characters – so when you stop and think about it, checking out other people’s desk setups might not be that odd.  Deskography is a website dedicated to showing the world where you work and has tons of interesting desktop setups that might even inspire you to change your own corner nook around a little ‘bit.

Super Nintendo Retro Review

Mitch's New Super Nintendo

Here recently I have been playing games like it the mid-90s all over again. How? Well, I thought it was about time I bought myself a replacement Super Nintendo.  My old SNES bit the dust the last time I tried plugging it in (it served me well) so this time I picked up one of the newer models – well as new as a system built in 1997 can be.
