All in One Twitter Layout Designer

The team from COLOURlovers have come up with a fantastic new tool to redesign your own Twitter page.  Think of it as a coloring book for your social status.

Twitter Design Tools

Once you load the tools up, you can pick from a number of different template designs, or browse through some of the most popular ones.  Then all you do is pick a color, change it – then move onto the next.  The entire thing is a very zen-like experience.  Well, it is if you were ever into coloring as a kid.

I am having way too much fun with the Batman and Robin comic generator this morning.  It is Monday though, so I am allowed a little leeway, right?

Pow, right in the kisser!

My question to you all is, did it really happen or is this some Internet hoax?

Having Fun with Nuclear Grade Duct Tape

Nuclear Grade Duct Tape There is no doubt that Amazon sells a little ‘bit of everything these days.  Did you know though, that you can easily pick up a roll of 3M Performance Plus 8979N Nuclear Grade 48-Millimeter-by-54.8-Meter Duct Tape? Yeah, that is a little odd, even for Amazon standards.  Here is the actual description of the item on the page:

The slate blue color makes it ideal for use in nuclear tape facilities and it is certified for low leachable halogens and sulfur. It also provides sunlight and UV resistance for up to one year without the backing deteriorating or delaminating. This product is especially ideal for applications in the shipbuilding, nuclear power plant and stainless steel industries.

So with that said, they do also have user reviews for the item too.  here are some of my favorites: Continue Reading →

Sort and Reorder Your Taskbar Tabs

Sort Your Taskbar TabsSince I have to stare at my desktop for several hours of the day, I like to make sure everything is nice, neat and organized.  Taskix is the free and lightweight program I use to sort my Windows taskbar tabs, so that they are exactly in the order I want them in.

Once installed, all you have to do is start the program up, click the check mark box for “Always Start with Windows” and “Drag Tabs” then click the button labeled active.  Now you can drag and drop to arrange your Windows taskbar the way you see fit.  This program is a blessing for anybody who has multiple windows open throughout the day.

It also comes with several other options such as:

  • Scroll through tabs with your mouse wheel
  • Show the desktop or restore all maximized windows when you middle click the taskbar
  • Maximize the current window when you middle-click on it’s tab

The program is free to use, although the creator would like it if you could register and possibly give a little cash in appreciation. Taskix is simply the best lightweight Windows taskbar tab reordering tool.

Give Me Your Hosting Questions

imageHave questions about web hosting, and need some help?  On the Web Hosting Show’s web site, I have setup a form you can use to submit your questions and get your web site mentioned on my podcast.

All you need to do is visit the Submit a Question page, fill the form out, and then tune in to the Web Hosting Show each time a new show is released and your question will be answered and your web site will be plugged!

What can you ask about? I’ll answer anything that is even remotely related to web hosting.  Maybe you could ask about search engine optimization techniques?  Perhaps you need to know how to install WordPress?  You might even want my recipe for poor man’s pigs in a blanket (white bread and Vienna sausages).  Give me your questions, and I will give you the answers.

Since I have both podcast #190 and podcast #200 coming up this month, I would really like to have a slew of questions to go through, so I can help each and every one of you.
