Add to MySpace Bookmarklet

myspace I have been sharing a lot of my posts and articles on MySpace lately to get a few more interested readers coming in, and after a long search I ran into one problem.  Yes, MySpace has the "Post to MySpace" feature now that makes sharing URLs from other non-MySpace sites easier.  The problem is nobody has written a bookmarklet for it yet.

Well, that was the case till I figured I would give it a shot.  Drag and drop think link on to your bookmarks toolbar:

Add to MySpace!

To cover all my bases, here is what you do – depending on the browser you use:

Firefox – Drag and drop the above link to your bookmarks toolbar or right-click the link and select "bookmark this link".

Internet Explorer – Right click on the link above, and select "add to favorites".

Safari – Drag and drop the link to your bookmarks toolbar.

I hope this helps out anybody else looking to quickly share interesting articles and sites with your friends and stalkers on MySpace.  If anybody wishes to be my bud – you can find my MySpace profile and add me there!

Get More from Twitter

Twitter has gone from something I used to think was silly to something I find both highly addictive and handy at the same time.

If you overlook its flaws it is a great way to spread the word about yourself or pickup on small delights your friends might send your way during the day. Here are a few more ways to get more from Twitter.

Twitter Greasemonkey Scripts

Twitter Firefox Extensions

Twitter Resources and Help

Have any more suggestions? Send them my way or drop in an comment. Would love to hear any and all Twitter tips you might have.

Buy a Word, Any Word!

Want to help to redefine a word?  Now there is a deep and metaphorical thought in there somewhere right?  The Big Word Project hopes so as they are the ones who have assigned this task to themselves.  All you do is pick a word, any word and then link it to your web site.  Your web site in turn, then becomes the new definition.

big-word-project

Where is the catch?  Well each word will cost you $1 per letter.  So if I wanted to buy the word awesome, it would cost me $7.  Now we have seen the “charge a little ‘bit of money for the big advertising” deal before, but at least Paddy and Lee (the two guys behind the project) are trying to put a new spin on an old idea.

Right now they have 2,160 active words and counting.  Want to add yours as number 2,161?  Also be sure to stay tuned to their blog which has some pretty solid content if you want to watch their progress with this unique idea.

Wii Will Take Your Money!

wii-crazy I have had my Wii for a little over a week now, and I do love it dearly. In my opinion, it is the perfect system for my generation – the one that was raised with a bottle in one hand and a video game controller in the other hand.

Right now I could care less about graphic innovation, home entertainment or anything that the others are pitching. What I want is something that is fun to play which Wii wins at hands down.

One aspect that I didn’t think would be so damn addictive is downloading the Virtual Console titles. I download one, play it for a while and say.. “Gee, I sure would like to play that” and download another, then another, then well.. just one more. Ok, this will be the last one I promise! I am at the point where I think I may just have to set myself aside a “Wii budget” so I am not tempted to go overboard.

One more money related issue that bugs me about the Wii is that they sell the nunchuk and the Wii-mote as two different (and expensive) controllers. As far as controllers go I have 2 Wii-motes, 2 nunchuks, and 2 “classic” controllers. This way I figure I’ll get half of my controller costs out of the way. Spending $40 for the Wii-mote and then $20 for a nunchuk seems to be a little ‘bit of a money grab to me.

Well damn you Nintendo and your gaming goodness, you grabbed me. Now I’m off to go wait curb side for Super Smash Bros. Brawl to be delivered… what are you talking about, I don’t have a problem!

Unique Collaboration Tools

We might not all work best in groups, but there is no doubt that a group can sometimes come up with more unique ideas and it does help to have somebody or something to bounce your ideas and work off of.  Here are some unique tools for working together with others.

WebCanvas – This is a tool that will give you an infinite canvas to paint, draw or sketch out your ideas to others.

ReviewBasics -  The catch phrase is "content review made easy". You upload your work, invite people to review and you can watch you feedback come rolling in.

(xy)write it! – With this you can create, share and export documents for free.  It provides a simple way to share and collaborate on a document no matter your location on the globe.

Hopefully with these three you will at least have a new way to work on that project you have in mind or get your next big whatever your working on done.  The Web makes it easy to use the power of many to get a single task done…

so why not take advantage of it?

Garfield Without Garfield is Funnier

Who doesn’t love the American classic, Garfield? Sure I still love the regular comics, but I do have to say they are much funnier without Garfield. Somebody has gone though the effort to remove that fat cat from a ton of old comics. What you are left with is John going from a guy with a cat to a guy who is a bit schizophrenic.

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Endings

I haven’t seen many of these for a number of years, the very oddball and sometimes rather goofy endings to Street Fighter II.  Poor Chun-Li just wants to be a girl, Blanka meets his mommy and Zangief dances with Gorbachev.

Also, yep – as a warning this video will spoil the endings of Street Fighter II for you.  Then again, if you haven’t beat it by now with at least somebody I am probably doing you a favor.
