I have a very clean desktop (besides a few gadgets). I don’t like icons on the desktop and also use the Start Menu for the most part. A clean desktop makes me feel organized.

It bugs me when I see someone’s desktop cluttered with icons. Makes me want to delete them when no one’s looking.

Desktop? What’s that?

I have a few very commonly used shortcuts on my desktop, but I never, ever, under any circumstance save a file there, and all but the absolute rockstars among my applications stay tucked in the start menu. In fact, I rarely even click the ones that are there, I default to quicklaunch or start.

I try and keep mine tidy but sometimes it gets a bit of a struggle when your busy. Where can I find that desktop wallpaper I really like it?

I try to have a naked desktop, but it never works out. At home I have two folders on the desktop and at work I have many more. But I really try!

Awesome tip wouldn’t have thought about it this way at all. I like the idea of keeping your desktop like your own clean canvas to work on.
