I found it nice to simply disable the addon. You will only see it when looking at the list of addons (which is negliable) and you never see it.

Just my idea, throwing it out there.

pzw, I’ll see what I can do about getting it typed up. I might also add I did this all in Firefox 2, so if you are running an earlier version – this might not work.

For the most part though, you can put that same file I have for download through an unzipper (I use WinRAR). Then you need to find the four graphic files that make up the button. You can edit and replace these as you wish, drag that back into the safe.jar (via WinRAR) and zip it all back up. Then place it in the folder I mentioned above in the article.

As you can see – that is a little confusing without seeing what it is I am actually doing.

I downloaded and installed you .jar file, but all it did was remove the green color from the McAfee SiteAdvisor button. Would you please list the instructions to manually remove the text? Thank you very much!
