Since I’ve been doing the Web Hosting Show for some time now, I often get asked to give tips to other folks who want to start podcasting. Here are a few of my favorites, but feel free to comment and add your own.
Podcasting tip number one is to try to sound like you are at least half-way interested in what you are talking about. Ben Stein already has the market on boring and monotone speech patterns. Don’t steal his shtick.
For podcasting tip number two, don’t get off topic too much. A little off topic discussion can be fun. Listening about your foot fetish when I tuned into hear your thoughts on Windows Vista is not.
Podcast tip number three is a little tricky. Watch how you say your “F” and “P” words. Sudden booms on my speakers frighten me. If you look at this as a solution to waking people up after not following podcasting tip number one, please don’t podcast anymore.
