SB1Online.com – Site Redesign

SB-1When a Web site just isn’t working for you, you need a change. Ever since November of last year, SB-1 Online had been a pain in the butt for me to update, because I had to do everything by hand. Last week, I had enough.

That is where the idea of the SB1Online.com redesign was born. Thanks to WordPress, the entire Web site is more interactive and is a heck of a lot easier to update. For those of you who might be a little confused about who SB-1 is, he’s one of my best friends.

So go check out the new Web site, and let me know what you think!

Chicken With 11 Toes

There you have it folks, I didn’t think it could happen either till I was called to take the picture. This is a baby chicken with eleven toes. Five on one foot and six on the other. Chickens usually only have six toes, for those folks out there who haven’t seen a chicken before it is deep fried.

I hope it makes it. You have to believe that this wouldn’t exactly make for easy walking.

Note: If this doesn’t make me at least a C-List blogebrity, I don’t know what would!

A Web 2.0 Directory

NEO BinariesThis is as simple as I can put it, following everything that is being labeled as “Web 2.0″ is pretty difficult. There are so many projects, and only so much time to go through them all. Well, that was the case before I ran into NEO Binaries.

NEO Binaries does an excellent job when it comes to matching up Web applications to the users who need them. I might not be interested in Web 2.0 solution one, two and three, but solution number five looks really good. They give a quick summery of what each project is about, community rating and user reviews. If that isn’t enough, they also have a news section that covers all the latest and greatest out of this Web 2.0 movement.

After browsing through the categories they deliver, I was able to find a few Web 2.0 applications I probably wouldn’t have known about. This is a positive for both the content creators and the content users.

Want to help out? They have an entire Web page dedicated to listing ways you can contribute to the Web site.

I Never Did Like the Opera

I tried out the new Opera 9 beta yesterday. My thoughts? It still confuses the heck out of me. I’ll stay with Firefox for the time being. My biggest complaint would be with how it deals with RSS. It seems like when I click on that nice little orange button in the address bar it takes me to a place I know nothing about. It doesn’t tell you how you got there or how you can get back. I guess if there is a winner, then there has to be a loser in the browser wars. Opera is the one-legged man running the 100 meter race with a midget on it’s back.

Ziki – New Social Network

I’ve been playing around with Ziki this morning. I like it a little better than some of the other new social networks out there today. They say it, “connects people based on who they are, what they’re interested in and what they’re looking for”. Feel free to add me to your favorites or network.

Web Hosting Show Advertisement

I decided to sit down and script out a new simple one minute ad for the Web Hosting Show. Might not be the best, but hey I think it’s funny. Think of it as a public service announcement mixed with a commercial for a law firm. Any feedback or thoughts you have would be great.

Orangoo’s Spelling Checker

I am ready to admit to the world that I am not the world’s best spell checker. A writer who isn’t good at spelling is like a dentist who hates to brush his teeth, I know.

Orangoo’s Spell Check might be a solution for me. It lets you spell correct from any system or computer that has Internet access. It also spell checks in 28 languages.

Will it be good enough to break me from using the Google search box in Firefox for my spell checking? I don’t know about that.

Mitch Sneezes on Google Calendar

Oh my gosh, have you seen it yet? Right from Google Labs, they have released Google Sneeze! It is the first Web 2.0 sneezing application out there today. It doesn’t do anything any better than any other pile of snot, but Google released it. That means the army of faceless bloggers must talk about it.

Oh yeah, they released some calendar thing too…
