Many folks have been asking me when and if they can read some of the Web hosting book I’ve been working on. Well, never one to disappoint my friends and colleges, here is a sample of the introduction chapter.
The wacky world of Web hosting. I have called it that many times before and probably will many times again. The reason the Web hosting world is so wacky and unpredictable is because there are a lot of strange things that go on. Both from the customer standpoint and the Web hosts’ side there are many a story to be told. There is one thing you can not deny though. That is that there is a lot of confusion when it comes to Web hosting. Who’s the best host? What should you be looking for? Well if you don’t know your server from your disc space then this is the right book for you.
Before we get into the story that is Web hosting, let me tell you a little more about myself. Hopefully if you have a better glance of how I came to be known in the Web hosting world you will have a better view of where my perspective comes from.
It has been a year since my last Web hosting job. In that time I have written hundreds of articles helping folks learn more about the way Web hosting works. My articles can be seen on over a dozen Web sites and by the time you read this book, possibly more. Now to go back a little further into my past.
What do you think? I know it isn’t much to go on, but I’d like to keep as much of this under wraps as I can till I am done with the finished project.
