Mitch’s Favorite Odd RSS Feeds

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery right? Well, hello, my name is Mitch, and I am addicted to RSS feeds. I see them in my sleep, I see them when I’m awake. I’m hooked. So in my never winning quest of trying to make a positive out of every addiction I might have, I decided to share a few of my favorite odd RSS feeds. Misery does loves company after all.

MSNBC Weblogs

We are now at the point where everybody and their dog has a blog set up. Watching MSNBC for a while, you will notice just about every commercial break you will get at least three plugs for MSNBC blogs. Now I am one to say the more the merrier! I just wish other news outlets could follow suit. My favorite of these has to be Keith Olbermann’s Bloggermann. I am a big fan of his show Countdown too.

Phil, the IT Guy

I am not one to get too excited over Web comics. Don’t know why, but for me they just don’t do the same thing as the Sunday newspaper just yet. Well, I have a confession to make. One has worked it’s way onto my RSS reader and it is Phil, the IT Guy. The reason I love this one so much is some of the stuff written there reminds me so much of the trials and tribulations I went through working in the world of Web hosting. Well that, and Matt is a good guy.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

I always loved buying the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! books when I was in grade school. You know, at those book fairs they seemed to have every three months with overpriced crap you couldn’t live without? Well now I get all that joy and excitement for free! It still holds my attention after all these years.

WebHosting.Info News

For the longest time I could not find a good RSS news feed for the world of Web hosting. Finally I ran across WebHosting.Info and got more than I could ever need, as far as Web hosting news goes. Very nice updates, even though the normal man or woman on the street would be scratching their heads at most of it. This one is odd just because there are not many good Web hosting news sites out there.

Cheap Ass Gamer

I love a good deal. I love it even better when it is a good video game deal. Truth be told, I really like to bargain hunt for video games. You never know what type of title you might find out about if you don’t listen to the average video game review Web site. Just because a few places call it a bad game, doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it. Cheap Ass Gamer does a good job of hunting good deals and cheap prices for many video game titles and platforms. Now if it could only buy me a Nintendo DS.

An honorable mention should go out to Chris Pirillo, because without him I probably wouldn’t have ran across even half of these cool oddball feeds. Have any other odd feeds that I missed?
